Product Overview
Genestra Crab Apple Bud- 1 fl oz (30 ml)
Phytoembryotherapy is a branch of phytotherapy that specifically incorporates plant embryological tissues (buds, young shoots, etc.) containing “plant meristem” cells – undifferentiated, fast dividing cells which contain the plant’s genetic blueprint and material. These embryonic tissues are rich in beneficial phyto-chemicals including: growth factors and plant hormones, enzymes, nucleic acids, oligoelements, and phytonutrients such as polyphenols and flavonoids. These embryological tissues are also utilized because many of the above mentioned components are lost in fully developed plants once chlorophyll is formed. These embryological tissues are also utilized because their energetic components are at their highest levels when they are harvested in the spring – the most active phase of the growth cycle.
Additional product info: Crab Apple belongs to the Rosaceae family and is one of the oldest fruit trees in the world. It dates back to biblical times and is reknown as the symbol for the “Tree of Knowledge” and original sin. Interestingly, it is understood to have two primary spheres of action: the brain and sexual organs. Crab Apple accelerates cerebral circulation and oxygenation and regulates the secretion of neuromodulators to help facilitate intellectual work and mental fatigue. On the sexual sphere, it stimulates testosterone secretion in men and estradiol secretion in women. This hormone modulation also aids in lowering cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Due to its high vitamins B and C and minerals Si, Fe, S, Mn and Co, it has been used as an anti-inflammatory and diuretic. Of additional benefit, Crab Apple has haematopoietic activity that is beneficial in treating blood stasis, hot flushes and for migraines of a vascular nature.
