Zea Mays comes from corn and is not considered as a tree.(1) In Gemmotherapy, the rootlets of this plant are used as the medicinal ingredient.(2)
Zea Mays is primarily indicated for its anti-inflammatory actions on the arterial and myocardial spheres to help accelerate myocardial healing and lower transaminases post infarct.(3) It can be combined with Syringa Vulgaris to help prevent further deterioration.(4)
Zea Mays is also indicated in both kidney and urinary inflammations.(5)
