About Homeopathic Products
Homeopathic products are prepared from plant, mineral and other source materials through serial dilution and succussion (vigorous shaking) according to the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States (HPUS). In the US, they are regulated as drugs, not dietary supplements, and most are sold over the counter.
The products on this site fall into a few families:
- Single remedies: one active ingredient at a stated potency.
- Complex or combination remedies: several ingredients, often at more than one potency, formulated for a labeled use. Most European bioregulatory lines are complexes.
- Homeopathic-spagyric preparations: plant extracts made by a spagyric process, then prepared homeopathically.
- Isopathic and microbial preparations: remedies made from microbial or related source materials, in the tradition of Günther Enderlein.
- Cell salts: twelve mineral salts in low homeopathic potencies.
Homeopathic products and dietary supplements follow different rules, so each product page on AnovaHealth states clearly which one it is. Homeopathic pages show the label exactly as printed: active ingredients with potencies, labeled uses, directions and warnings.
